Jakarta – PKS Chairperson of DPP Mardani Ali Sera assesses the proposal of Wasekjen Democrat Party Rachland Nashidik about the dissolution of presidential and vice presidential coalitions unwise. According to Mardani, the proposed dissolution of the coalition is now also difficult.
“The proposal for dissolution (coalition) to reduce political tension is not wise,” said Mardani in Jakarta, Sunday (9/6).
Mardani said that the dissolution of the coalition would make decision making difficult. According to him, coalitions are not really a problem, the most important thing is to be able to compete in a healthy manner and respect political opponents.
“Let this be a shared learning with the condition that all promote the adult political character,” he said.
He gave an example of how the rivalry of the US Presidential Candidate McCain and the presidential candidate Barrack Obama during the US Election. Both of them competed in a healthy manner so that Mc Cain once corrected the statement of a supporter who branded Barrack Obama as not American.
“McCain’s attitude is clear by mentioning Obama is a good American and a competitor himself in loving America. So, we can compete and still respect each other’s competitors,” he said.
According to Mardani, the most important thing is the quality of leadership and this is still lacking in Indonesia. This quality of leaders will determine the quality of democratic competition.
“The capacity and quality of leadership determines the quality of the Democracy competition. Therefore, PKS insha Allah is istiqomah with the Adil Makmur Coalition,” he concluded.
Previously, Wasekjen Democratic Party Rachland Nashidik through his Twitter account asked Candidate Number 01 Joko Widodo and Presidential Candidate Number 02 Prabowo Subianto to dissolve the coalition of their respective political parties. According to Rachland, the dissolution of the coalition could reduce political tension at the grassroots level after the 2019 Presidential Election.
Same suggestion, dissolve the Coalition, I also convey to Mr. June”>
“Once again, Mr. @jokowi and Pak @prabowo, acted right. In this situation, the main concern needs to be given to efforts to reduce high blood pressure politics at the grassroots,” Rachland wrote on Sunday (9/6).
Again, Mr. June”>
According to Rachland, the role of the coalition party is not very important in the process of disputing the results in the Constitutional Court so that the dissolution of the coalition will not affect the dispute over the results of the Presidential Election at the Constitutional Court.
“Dismissing the coalition faster is a recipe that is worth trying. The lawsuit in the Constitutional Court does not need the role of the party. Anyone who after the Constitutional Court session becomes the elected President, is welcome to choose his assistants themselves in the cabinet,” he said.
