Surabaya – East Java Regional Police alerted 1,200 personnel to help secure the trial of election disputes at the Constitutional Court (MK) which will be held on Friday (06/14/2019) tomorrow.
The personnel from the East Java Regional Police consisted of 700 Brimob personnel, and 500 personnel from the Bhayangkara Unit (Sabhara).
East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Luki Hermawan said, the East Java Regional Police would increase the security of the General Election Results (PHPU) case of the presidential and vice presidential candidates at the Constitutional Court.
“Our troops in Jakarta currently have around 1,200 people from May 21-22,” Luki said after the troop title at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters, Surabaya, Thursday (06/13/2019).
Luki added, the East Java Regional Police also continued to coordinate with the ranks of the TNI, Regional Government and religious leaders in maintaining security in East Java.
“We are here asking for TNI assistance because our 1,200 people are in Jakarta right now,” Luki said.
Luki appealed to the public to entrust fully the process of disputing the 2019 Presidential Election to the authorities, namely the Constitutional Court.
He hopes that the East Java people will not be provoked by the invitation to hold actions, especially those that are not in accordance with the constitution.
“We have appealed to the figures here (East Java). There is an activity whose information is dated down to Grahadi on the 14th, God willing, with the help of religious leaders, not in Grahadi, “Luki said.
