Blitar – As many as four people from 18 teenagers from Ngoro Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, East Java Province (East Java) were victims of the waves (tidal waves) in Pangi Beach, Tumpak Kepuh Village, Bakung District, Blitar District , Tuesday (06/11/2019). Two victims of Khoiril Mirza (20) and Nuril Ubaidilah (19) were rescued.
However, two other victims, Eko Julianto (29), residents of Wates, Ngoro and Indra Prasetyo (24), residents of Jalan Sabang, Ngoro, Jombang, were declared missing and to this day, Wednesday (12/07/2019) have not been found. “We do not dare to give help because the waves are high,” said Ari Sarfudin (20), a member of the Ngoro group, Jombang, this morning.
Originally a group of tourists from Ngoro, Jombang numbered 18 people who came to the South Coast on Tuesday morning at 3:00 a.m. WIB, it was by two Toyota Avanza chartered cars. They then spent the night on the beach by setting up tents. Only in the morning there were 14 people going to take a bath to the beach and four others waiting in the tent. Four people showered too far into the middle, then dragged by a big wave as high as six meters that came suddenly.
Bakung Police Chief AKP Imam Subechi said that previously the tourists had been warned by a number of Pangi coastal fishermen not to bathe on the beach, because the waves were fierce and often came suddenly.
“The search for the two missing victims by the joint team of the Search and Rescue Regional Disaster Management Agency (SAR BPBD) and the Blitar Regional Police has not yet produced results,” said AKP Imam Subechi.
