Jakarta – Indonesian entrepreneurs should use the facilities provided by the Government of Jordan to try, expand and export products. Because, Jordan is a hub ( hubs ) in world trade. This opportunity should be used by Indonesia to establish bilateral trade cooperation with Jordan.
This was conveyed by the President of Indonesia Jordan Business Council (IJBC) Mayra Andrea when opening the focus group discussion (FGD), Wednesday (6/12/2019) Noble House, Jakarta. This forum is a means to expose the potential of the postwar country, including Iraq and Syria. In addition, the results of the discussion in this forum will be used as material for participant preparation at Jordan Build 13 International Exhibition For Build, Construction, and Engineering Industries in Amman, Jordan 24 to 27 June 2019.
Some time ago, said Mayra, IJBC collaborated with the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) to reconstruct Iraq and Syria.
On that occasion, IJBC’s Vice President of Infrastructure & ESDM, Ludin’s service explained geopolitically, Iraq was dominated by many groups / tribes, so it was rather difficult to establish direct communication. Therefore, Jordan is expected to be a bridge for Indonesian businessmen to enter Iraq. Today many buildings, roads and infrastructure in Iraq are destroyed and will be rebuilt. At least 50 new projects will be collaborated and discussed in Jordan Build 13 in Jordan.
“According to information gathered, currently the barrier between Jordan and Iraq has been opened, thus facilitating the process of entering there. Contractors and consultants are needed in Iraq. For Syria, currently the situation there is not conducive, so the focus is not yet there, “said Bakti.
IJBC’s Advisory Board, Mohammad Bawasier, said that his side fully supports the collaboration of IJBC and hopes that Indonesian businessmen can enter Jordan more quickly.
Regarding security conditions, Bawasier assured FGD participants that security in Jordan was guaranteed. Based on the results of the survey, no one has been hit by a bomb attack, so there is no need to worry about being there.
