Jakarta – After a long holiday, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) managed to record positive sales in May 2019. Suzuki retail sales recorded an increase of 18.3% compared to the previous month. In unit sales, Suzuki managed to sell a total of 9,633 with the largest contribution from the New Carry Pick Up and All New Ertiga.

This can be seen from the increase in our sales, even during long holidays. “This achievement is proof that Suzuki vehicles, especially the New Carry Pick Up and All New Ertiga, received positive response from the public and according to customer needs,” said Makmur, 4W Sales Director of PT SIS in a written statement on Saturday (06/22/2019)
According to Makmur, Suzuki’s biggest contribution came from commercial vehicles, namely New Carry Pick Up, which was launched on April 25, 2019. In May 2019, Suzuki managed to market 4,825 light commercial vehicles in retail, with an increase of 18% compared to the previous month. This positive achievement prompted the New Carry Pick Up to become the “King of Pick Up” by controlling 55.2% of the market share of light commercial vehicles in Indonesia.
It was stated, the high sales of the New Carry Pick Up was supported by various interesting programs that made it easier for consumers to get the New Carry Pick Up. In collaboration with several leasing companies, Suzuki offers various benefits, such as light advances, installments starting at three million rupiah, and free service, engine oil, filter oil and gasket oil for up to 50,000 km or for two years.
In addition, the achievement of Suzuki’s positive sales also came from its passenger vehicles, namely the All New Ertiga. Suzuki recorded All New Ertiga’s retail sales growth reaching 23% compared to April 2019, which was 2,657 units. While other Suzuki car sales in May 2019 consisted of 603 units of Karimun Wagon R, 512 units of Baleno, Ignis 431 units, 331 units of APV, and 165 units of SX4 S-Cross.
In terms of region, Jabodetabek is the region with the largest sales contribution in May 2019. “Jabodetabek contributes sales to 3,075 units or 31.9% of Suzuki’s total sales in May 2019,” concluded Makmur.
