Cheerfulness can be seen from the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of hundreds of homecoming participants who meet the court outside VLC. They are ready with their own cars.
According to Budi, the homecoming atmosphere also became its own euphoria and something that was most eagerly awaited by almost all Indonesian people.
He explained, the participants consisted of 114 Club Friends and 16 Friends of Journalists. This year there are 13 Daihatsu car clubs participating. “This is in order to make the trip back and forth between the participants and their families safer, more comfortable and enjoyable,” he said.
Budi explained, his party routinely held homecoming together every year since 2009. The animation was very high. However, this year there are special things that Daihatsu worked on.
“Unlike the previous years where participants were made open, this year specifically, we created competitions through making short videos about Daihatsu. “The winner has the right to go back and forth with this,” he said.
Described, from 17 Daihatsu clubs, it turned out that only 13 clubs participated in the competition.
Budi added, his side was grateful and very enthusiastic to accompany Sahabat Daihatsu during this year’s Ramadan. Daihatsu is also ready to accompany Sahabat’s homecoming trip by providing 9 Daihatsu Alert Posts (Merak, Cikampek KM57, Cipali KM 102A, Cirebon KM 207A, Alas Roban KM 379A, Salatiga KM 456A, Ngawi 575A, Jombang 678B, Tabanan at the gas station next to Lalanglinggah) at 31 May-7 June 2019. In addition, Daihatsu also provides 46 Standby Shops throughout Indonesia to support Daihatsu users to check their vehicles before going home.
Budi explained, before releasing homecoming participants, Daihatsu also provides tips and tricks on how travelers can be comfortable and safe .
This time, Daihatsu presented the Director of Safety Defensive Consultant Indonesia (SDCI) Sony Susmana as the speaker.
In previous years, Daihatsu provided training on safety driving how the driver and the vehicle are fit.
“Now we consider the driver and the vehicle fit, then what else is needed? So we give participants this trip together with training on defensive driving, how they can get to know their environment while driving, “Budi added.
During the short training, Sony explained how to implement defensive driving, so that going home can be smooth.
According to him, defensive driving is different from driving safety.
“For safety driving, it’s more about how we operate vehicles, while defensive driving is more about how we control our behavior when driving,” he said.
Driving behavior also includes awareness of the surrounding environment. However, from all that, the core that must be in the travelers is that going home must be happy. So, the trip becomes fun.
He explained, there are five main things in defensive driving , namely, first keep an eye. Travelers must put their first eye from the surroundings, both front, side and back.
Second, commentary driving, where commenting on things that happen in the outside environment. Third, keep your distance, with the vehicle in front. Try not to be in front of a large car as much as possible to avoid collisions due to brake failure.
Fourth, keep the speed of the vehicle. Fifth, must see and be seen. “Make sure we can see the environmental conditions and vice versa, the environment can know our vehicles,” he added.
According to Sony, we cannot possibly avoid accidents, but at least with defensive driving, we can reduce the risk of accidents.
Meanwhile, Tri Dharma, one of the participants from the Avanza Xenia Indonesia Club community (Axic), said he was happy to be able to return to take part in the homecoming with Daihatsu. This year, he was re-elected after the video won the competition. He and several of his club colleagues made a video titled AXIC Daihatsu Mudik Avenger 2019 . They play a role like the characters in Avenger. Tri acts as Haji Tanos.
“The important thing is that we are happy, get together with friends in my car wash at Pondok Kopi, and the video,” Tri said.
Last year, Tri also went home with Daihatsu. However, this year is more interesting because it is packaged in the form of competition.
“This activity is good, because it strengthens the relationship between the club and the family. We hope this is routinely held every year, “said Tri, who this year will go home to Solo and Yogyakarta with his family.
